Xgames :: SIA

This man right here.

Halldor Helgason. Tonight. 2 perfect scores, both front and back double cork 10s, and then hucks it to the 12? Unreal!! All while being an XGames rookie.

So far this year the games have been killing it. Both Mens and Womens Skiing and Snowboarding are stepping it up. In case you've been living under a rock for the past 6 years, Shaun White is unstoppable. The Olympics are looking like a cake walk for him, hucking it an average 8' higher than anyone else.

In case you missed last night, Bobby Brown absolutely DESTROYED the Big Air Final for Men's skiing. If you haven't seen this, Watch. Now.

Switch. Dub Misty 1440.
Holy Bejezus.
And the TJ throws down the 1620?!! The first ever?!? If you haven't been watching, you need to start, because this year is just unprecedented.

On a lighter note. SIA Today was absolutely amazing. We went around and slung some new sponsors for you guys, and snagged a few new proforms (can you say Helipacks, and backyard rail set ups on proform? Yeah, I think so!), so be on the look out. Other than that, It was just super fun. I guess really the only picture from today was this one.

How lame am I? Your membership director?
Super Lame.
I was like a kid today, meeting one of,
if not possibly my favorite riders, Joe Sexton
and snagging a picture. The stoked level is beyond comprehension as you can see from the goofiest smile I've thrown in years.

To lay out a bit of the highlights: Orage outerwear looks absolute amazing. Icelantic and Fortitude Skis, all local companies have some skis next year that you cant even begin to imagine. The graphics, for starters, are some of the sickest top sheets I've ever seen.

Throw in some of the most advanced ski technology in the history of the sport, and you should all be excited for what the future holds to our sports. Line and Solomon are lookin reallllllll sick aswell.

On the snowboard side of things. Capita's new line is out of control. I'm talking naked panda out of control (this is not a joke, at all.. ). Union Bindings have a new technology thats coming out next year that makes them the lightest, and strongest bindings on the market. Im talkin like feather light here guys. Burton had the sickest little casino set up there this week, and their new models, including their improved channel system, are a sight to be seen! The new Love, also seen today being ridden by Mikkel Bang, is probably my favorite board on their line.

We will have some more updates, and maybe a weekend edit if I can actually make it up to the hill tomorrow. Who knows. We love you guys, and we're gonna keep trying to kill it as hard as we can just for you.

Love.BoulderFreeride
